Description

Ole Kolsrud, førstearkivar i Seksjon for brukertjenester, viser oss sitt favorittbilde:

”Nedre Slottsgate i 1882. Strid om gateregulering i Kristiania. Saken gikk til Høyesterett, som avsa dom i 1885. Dommen i sak korpslege Backer mot Kristiania kommune kan leses i Norsk rettstidende for 1886, sidene 33-44.

Det er sjelden at rettslige bevisdokumenter følger med til arkivering i Høyesterett, men av og til støter man på plansjer, tegninger og fotografier, som her. Legg merke til dobbelteksponeringen.”

Ole Kolsrud in the section for user services, gives us his favorite photo this week: “Nedre Slottsgate in Oslo in 1882. Conflict around street regulation in Kristiania (old name for Oslo). The case went all the way to the Supreme Court, who passed verdict in 1885. The verdict in the case Dr Backer vs Kristiania can be read in Norsk Rettstidende for 1886, pages 33-44.

It is rare that judicial evidence material is included in archive material in the Supreme Court, but sometimes you come across charts, drawings and photos, like here. Notice the double-exposure.”
