Bermudagrass seed is all imported from Australia, none beingraised in the United States. As this grass is becomingmore favorably known, the amount of seed importedis increasing annually. English and Italian rye-grassseed mostly comes from Scotland and Ireland. Theseed of the less common grasses, such as tall fescue,sheeps-fescue, the bent grasses, and sweet vernal, arenot saved in this country to any extent, but are im-ported from the Continent of Europe, mostly fromFrance and Germany.
