Famish Solo

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Born April 5th,1999, James McGary also known as Famish Solo is an American Songwriter/Musician. Growing up under American influence Famish Solo took influence from artists such as Matt Maeson, Syd Matters, Frank Ocean and Phantogasm. At the age of 20 that influence would change because Famish Solo began making connections with artists in Korea where he took influence from Korea University Music Club Terra. There, he would get to know artistd such as Mirror in Miro and Shade. Two artist who played big influence in his outgoing personality. A year later he would also meet artists from Hanyang University named RichBoyHardy and Ellui who helped unlocked Famish Solo’s passionate and loving side in music.

Early Life: Born April 5th Famish Solo would grow up in a small town near Orlando Florida. There he would attend Auburndale High School (Same High School as NBA legend Tracy McGrady) for 4 years before graduating in 2017. Although young James talks about how he would experience many hardships as a minor. Growing up as a child he didn’t have the most money so he often found himself being mocked for hairstyles or off brand shoes or clean but outdated clothes. He recalls how he appreciated everything his parents had done for him growing up but at the same time due to financial problems Famish Solo began to take life for granted as a child and started having himself. He would feel sad because students would mock his appearance, his clothes, his sexual preferences, and bullying began getting progressively worse. Students began to physically harm Famish to the point to where he stopped attending school regularly, his grades dropped, and he remember moments where he cried himself to sleep. In those moments he was not so sure he would be someone special… someone who has the purpose he has now. Looking back he definitely believes his experience and pain helped cut him into the person he is today. He felt absolutely pain, isolation, and humiliation and without those key moments, and mental health trauma suffered the lyrics to his art would not be authentic. He prides himself on authenticity because discussing topics you have no experience in could lead listeners down a darker road.

Music Journey : In 2019 Famish decided to use that painful experience learned in the past to make music. He wasn’t sure what niche he was into because of his race. He saw most black artists either become Rapper or Rnb Singer. Although he realized he could rap. He preferred to be more of an Alternative/folk writer. He uploaded song after song after song and found no results but along the way he decided to use each song as a learning experience to help prepare for upcoming releases in the Future.

A year later Famish would end up in Korea. A feeling that was bitter sweet. Beautiful country, beautiful people, and beautiful culture. Although he met many good people in Korea, he would also be burden with bad ones. He befriended and eventually fell in love with KLPGA golfer from Yongin-si, Korea and they had a strong relationship. But with that relationship came bitter people. Famish recalls the time a Few local KLPGA golfers (who names we can’t say due to privacy reasons) approached his girlfriend and told false rumors with hopes of ruining his relationship. The rumors worked and Famish recalled feelings broken and alone for a year after the breakup. With his long miserable breakup Famish decided to release the single “Last Goodbye” which explains exactly how his relationship ended and how he hit rock bottom.
