  • Legende
    • Genauigkeit: Bei dieser Karte handelt es sich um eine Skizze. Sie ist nicht für die Navigation vorgesehen, sondern soll lediglich einen Eindruck der geographischen und auch sprachlichen Gegebenheiten auf den Färöern vermitteln.
    • Namenskonventionen: Die landessprachlichen Bezeichnungen wurden komplett verwendet. Ausnahme: Die in dunkelblauer Schrift bezeichneten Gebiete des Atlantiks
    • Verkehrsnetz: Diese Karte verzichtet auf die Kennzeichnung sowohl der Tunnel auf den gebirgigen Färöern, als auch auf die Fährlinien. Von der Hauptstadt Tórshavn aus werden alle Inseln südlich des 62. Breitengrades und das lokale Ballungszentrum um Runavík bedient. Das Netz der Landstraßen wird von Autobussen flächendeckend befahren. Autofähren verkehren nur zu den Inseln, welche mit einer Straße verzeichnet sind. Alle bewohnten Inseln (durch einen schwarzen Punkt als Ort gekennzeichnet) werden fahrplanmäßig angefahren. Neben der Fährlinie von Tórshavn nach Suðuroy ist die Linie von Leirvík nach Klaksvík die wichtigste im Binnenverkehr. Die Karte verzeichnet noch nicht den 2003 eröffneten Tunnel zwischen den Inseln Streymoy und Vágar, der nunmehr eine feste Verbindung der Hauptstadt zum Flughafen darstellt.
