Title
English: Factories in the Georgetown district, Seattle.
Description
English: Broderick & Bascom Rope Co. in distance, at S. Stump St. and 8th Ave. S.; Northern Pacific Railroad line in foreground.
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Industrial facilities--Washington (State)--Seattle; Railroad tracks--Washington (State)--Seattle; Industrial districts--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Broderick and Bascom Rope Company (Seattle, Wash.); Northern Pacific Railway Company; Georgetown (Seattle, Wash.)

S. Stump Street later became part of Maynard Ave S. (though it's since been obliterated); not sure about UW Libraries's remark about 8th Ave. S., but Broderick & Bascom was at the corner of S. Stump Street and S. Edmunds St.; S. Edmunds St. retains its name. One slightly later Broderick & Bascom building on this property remains as of 2019 as MacMillan Piper Inc, 655 S. Edmunds St., though the one shown here has been demolished.

The street in the foreground is presumably the one now known as Airport Way.

This looking north into the Industrial District. It's a bit north/east of what people today usually call Georgetown, because it is on the northeast side of the Union Pacific Cargo Yard.
