Лицевой летописный свод "И в июле же в 25 день в четверг повелением благоче- стивого царя и вели- кого князя всея Руси Ивана Васильевича самодержца поставлен был на святой вели- кий престол великих чудотворцев Петра, Алексия и Ионы на Русскую митрополию [игумен Соловецкий Филипп Колычев русскими архиеписко- пами и епископами: Пимином, архие- пископом Великого Новгорода и Пскова, Германом, архиепи- скопом Казанским и Свияжским, Ни- кандром, архиепи- скопом Ростовским и Ярославским, Еле- уферием, епископом Суздальским и Та- русским, Филофеем, епископом Рязан- ским и Муромским, Семионом,епископом Смоленским и Брян- ским, Варлаамом, епископом Коломен- ским и Каширским, Галактионом, еписко- пом Сарским и По- донским, Иоасафом, епископом Пермским и Вологодским, и всем освященным собором. А Полоцкий архие- пископ в то время скончался, а Тверской епископ Акакий был тогда в болезни, да к тому же стар был (и остался) в Твери, и с архиепископами и епископами с из- бранием митрополита был единомыслен.
