Español: La cargotectura, es la construcción de hábitats utilizando el contenedor de transporte marítimo como elemento constructivo.
Este método de construcción aporta ventajas económicas en plazo y coste, ofrece una estética joven e innovadora, y contribuye de una forma positiva a la sostenibilidad ya que permite reciclar, reducir y reutilizar materiales. Ademas que en las obras que se considera utilizar la cargotectura ahorra 40% menos de agua y disminuye la huella de carbono. La capacidad de resistir el impacto de huracanes, tornados y terremotos los hacen óptimos para ser utilizados en proyectos humanitarios, refugios y centros comunitarios pero su versatilidad también ha capturado la imaginación de diseñadores y arquitectos alrededor del mundo quienes los están utilizando para cualquier proyecto, desde rascacielos a segundas residencias.
