F. W. BOLGIANO,
CUCUMBER .-®«Tfen
Uiu' Ounce to Fifty Hills. Two Pounds to the Acre.
ARLINGTON WHITE SPINE CUCUMBER.
^Arlington White Spine Cucumber.— This most excellent new Cucumber should be cultivated by
every grower. It is a week earlier than other early sorts, more productive, clear, dark, rich, attractive green
and holds its deep green color longer than any other. Desirable size, handsome shape and all run uniform.
Good shipper, and sells for highest prices. For the home garden, for the market and for shipping it is the best
selection.^2:.T^cket, 5c. Ounce, 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Half Pound, 20c. Pound, 40c.
— ar Extra Early Everg'reeii Cucumber. — In our trial grounds it proved earlier than all other sorts»
and made Cucumbers of faultless size and form and retained its dark green color. It is very prolific. We have
no hesitation in recommending this sort to our most particular growers.
Packet, 5c. Ounce, 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Pound, 40c.
.fsow Cool and Crisp Cucumber. — Exti a early, exceedingly prolific, bear the whole season.
Paper, 5c. Ounce, 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Pound, 40c.
■ M l v Half Long' Cucumber (Private Stock.) — For pickles a Cucumber of medium length, nicely pro-
portioned, is always preferred for home use and at pickling houses. If the pickle suits the eye as to size and
symmetry it finds ready sale. Our half-long is such a cucumber. It is remarkably productive and holds ite
deep color. Packet, 5c. Ounce, 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Pound, 30c.
-— =^.Ijiving'ston's Evergreen. — This new variety is proving of great value. It is very hardy and prob-
ably the most prolific of all varieties. In addition to being so wonderfully prolific it is very early, and the
cucumbers retain their beautifully green color longer than any other sort. It is one of the very best varieties
for slicing, as it is very crisp and of good quality, and as it produces fruits of medium size it is likely to be of
much value for pickling purposes. Packet, 5c. ounce, 10c. quarter pound, 15p. half pound, 20c. pound, 40c.
mprovecl Long Green. — The standard all-around variety. It makes an excellent fruit for slicing.
(Quality crisp and delicious. The smaller fruits are used for pickling and the larger ones can be allowed to
ripen for preserving. Packets, 5 and 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Half Poimd, 20c. Pound, 40c.
BOLGIANO'S
IMPROVED
JERSEY
PICKLE.
Improved Jersey Pickle. — Because of its size and beautiful deep green color this has become the
preferred kind with pickle growers and packers. It is medium in length, very shapely, prolific and holds its
color. Packet, 5c. Ounce, 10c. Quarter Pound, 15c. Pound, 30c.
Culture. — For the growth of Cucumbers hills are raised, standing five feet apart. Quite rich, sandy soil
is the best. Enrich the hills with a strong, rotten manure. For early use plant in May, for pickling plant in
June and July. Eight or ten seeds should be allowed to each hill, as the young plants are often destroyed by bugs.
St^"Add 8c. per pound on Cucumber Seed if to go by mail.,.^
I bought good seed from you last Fall, which were very satisfactory.
March 21, 1898.

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.
