The hexahedral star: It is a starry concave three-dimensional polytope that has 24 uniform irregular faces, which have forms of Joel isosceles triangles.

Summary[edit]

Description

English: The hexahedral star: It is a starry concave three-dimensional polytope that has 24 isosceles triangular outer faces of Joel (3s>). It has 8 intermediate vertices and 6 exterior vertices, for a total of 14 vertices. It has 12 intermediate edges, 24 outer edges, for a total of 36 edges. Joel's isosceles triangle is one that has its two equal sides greater than the unequal side is represented = 3s>.

Joel's hexahedral star belongs to the set of regular semis star polyhedra. This polyhedron does not belong to the group of regular crashed polyhedra, simply because their polyhedral faces are not regular triangular faces. The fifth stelation of the cube is represented by the Joel Hexahedral Star and the enlarged Joel Hexahedral Star.

With the set of the outer vertices of the hexahedral star of Joel, an imaginary regular convex octahedron is perfectly constructed. Within the framework of the three triangular polyhedral sequences, discovered by the Dominican José Joel Leonardo, occupies the position # 11, L = 11; C = 2L + 2, A = 3L + 3, V = L + 3.
