Description
Español: Escudo de la villa de Tacuba, como se describe en el Nobiliario de Conquistadores de las Indias, Madrid, 1892. Impresor de Cámara de S. M. Don Evaristo, 8.- teléfono 3.X03. Sociedad de Bibliófilos Españoles. Pag. 253 a 255 y como se ilustra en la lamina L. Este escudo se otorgo en realidad al primer gobernador indígena de Tacuba o Tlacopan, Antonio Cortes Tetlepanquetzaltzin quien lo recibió en 1564 junto con el nombramiento como ciudad para Tacuba, el escudo fue entonces usado indistintamente por su familia y el gobierno de la población al grado de que se usara como escudo municipal hasta 1928 cuando fue suprimido el municipio, hoy en día todavía se pueden ver restos de su uso en algunos de los edificios coloniales que sobreviven en Tacuba. English: Coat the village of Tacuba, as described in Nobiliario de Conquistadores de las Indias, Madrid, 1892. Impresor de Cámara de S. M. Don Evaristo, 8.- teléfono 3.X03. Sociedad de Bibliófilos Españoles. Pag. 253 a 255 and as illustrated in the lamina L. This shield is actually awarded the first indigenous governor or Tacuba or Tlacopan, Antonio Cortes Tetlepanquetzaltzin who received it in 1564 with the appointment as city Tacuba, the shield was then used interchangeably by his family and the government of the population to the extent it was used as a municipal coat until 1928 when it was abolished municipality, today you can still see traces of its use in some of the colonial buildings that survive in Tacuba.
