Description
Español: Escudo de San Francisco del Oro.

El escudo oficial del municipio, está resuelto en un campo muy estilizado, que en algo nos recuerda el campo español; sus blasones son los siguientes:

1. - Silueta del indígena Francisco Molina, descubridor del mineral en el año de 1656.

2. - Rayos solares que significan, iluminación y educación.

3. - Montañas típicas del lugar.

4.- Templo sobre castillo, hace alusión a una religión bien cimentada.

5. - Casco minero, seguridad laboral y pública.

6. - Las canastillas transportadoras del metal, que dependen de la orilla del casco, representan en sí a las dos principales minas; que son Francisco y Clarines, de la Compañía Minera Frisco.

7. - Principales vías de comunicación terrestre, carretera y ferrocarril.

8. - Cabeza de ganado vacuno, simboliza la ganadería regional.

9. - Matas de maíz como símbolo agrícola, cada hoja representa a una comunidad del municipio.

10. - El lema es: UNIDAD, HOSPITALIDAD Y TRABAJO
