Español: El escudo del Cantón Olmedo está dividido en cuatro cuarteles separados por dos diagonales:
ESPERANZA: vemos un sol radiante que está en un fondo azul que simboliza el cielo del Cantón. CULTURA: se encuentra un libro abierto y una pluma, sobre un fondo blanco, representando la cultura del pueblo. TRABAJO: junto a un sembrío vemos dos colinas, que simbolizan el trabajo como lo indica la palabra allí escrita. OPTIMISMO: está un río que representa el Puca, allí hay una embarcación que simboliza el transporte. Escudo está coronado por dos ramas de café, producto tradicional de Olmedo, en sus costados se sostienen dos banderas unidas por una cinta donde se ha escrito la fecha de cantonización.English: The coat of arms of Canton Olmedo is divided into four quarters separated by two diagonals:
