Kommentar: Geprägte Silbermedaille. - Von dieser Medaille existiert aus einem abweichenden Stempel auch eine Medaille mit der Jahreszahl 1694. Das vorliegende Stück mit der Jahreszahl 1696 wurde mit einem Stempel geprägt, bei dem die Jahreszahl 1695 in 1696 umgraviert wurde. Der Medailleur Georg Friedrich Esau war als Gold- und Silberschmied, Graveur Stempelschneider und Kupferstecher besonders für den waldeckischen Hof tätig. Später arbeitete er in Minden.
