Dearest Mamma,
I’m waiting for Papa in the writing-room of the Manhattan after a thrilling lunch-committee meeting at Mr Coudert’s[?] club, where I met various important personages connected with the work and two awfully nice girls who are going overon the same boat. And the Rochambeau doesn’t sail till Tuesday! --- So I’m going either to the Macs or Kitts, or both & Papa will come home
