Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Two paths of entropy as the integral of dQ/T from points 1 to 2 on a generic PV diagram. A grid of adiabats and isotherms subdivides the area into a grid of Carnot cycles. Carnot's theorem allows path 1 to be transformed into path 2 (one Carnot cycle at a time). In doing so, we see that both paths yield the same change in entropy. |
