Description
Deutsch: 1893/94 wurde ein Anbau des Bochumer Rathauses mit dem neue Sitzungssaal der Stadtverordneten errichtet. Das Gemälde im Stil der Historienmalerei war benannt: "Verleihung der Stadtrechte auf der Burg Blankenstein". Nach der damaligen Auffassung wurde am 8. Juni 1321 von dem Grafen Engelbert II. der Stadt Bochum die Stadtrechte verliehen. Das Gemälde verschwand beim Abriss des Gebäude Ende der 1920er.
