Afrikaans: Eerste strale van 'n winterdaeraad belig die kruin van Emhlongamvulaberg. Dié berg is in die Dirkiesdorp – Lüneberg-streek van suidelike Mpumalanga in Suid-Afrika geleë en ryk tot 2 115 m bo seespieël. Die nabygeleë bergkruin, Kwamandlangampisi, styg effe hoër tot 2 266 m. Die bergrif vorm die waterskeiding tussen die Assegaai- na die noorde (die Ngulane- en Vegkop-spruite mond onderskeidelik in die Heyshopedam en Assegaai stroomaf van die damwal uit) en die Phongolorivier na die suide (gevoed deur die Sibandlu-spruit wat die suidhange dreineer).
English: The peak of Emhlongamvula Mountain catches the first sun rays of a winter's morning. It rises to 2,115 m and is located in the Dirkiesdorp – Lüneburg region of southern Mpumalanga, South Africa. The nearby peak, Kwamandlangampisi, rises to 2,266 m. The mountain range forms the watershed between the Assegaai River to the north (the Ngulane and Vegkop creeks respectively empty in the Heyshope Dam and the Assegaai downstream of the dam wall) and the Phongolo River to the south (via the Sibandlu creek which drains the southern slopes). |
