Tiếng Việt: Việt-nam Đệ-nhất Cộng-hòa Quốc-huy giai-đoạn 1957-63.
Quốc huy Việt Nam Cộng Hòa có chủ đề chính là cây tre mềm dẻo, tượng trưng cho sự kiên định, lòng chung thủy và sự bền bỉ. Ở hai bên bụi tre, một bên là cây bút lông biểu tượng của văn hóa, và một bên là cây kiếm tượng trưng cho sức mạnh và sự quyết tâm. Cây tre là thứ cây tiêu biểu của làng quê Việt. Những giậu tre dày đặc, mọc xum xuê um tùm, tạo thành một bức tường bao quanh hầu hết mọi ngôi làng vùng châu thổ miền Bắc và những đồng bằng duyên hải miền Trung. Vì vậy, đối với nhiều người Việt, cây tre gắn liền với cuộc sống làng quê của họ, một hình ảnh vui vẻ của quê nhà và những truyền thống bắt nguồn từ trong quá khứ từ bao đời. Sức mạnh bên trong của cây tre, cùng với sự mềm dẻo và vẻ bên ngoài khiêm tốn của cây này, được xem là tượng trưng cho các đức tính của người quân tử. Một châm ngôn xưa nói "Tre càng mọc cao càng uốn mình thấp", với ý nghĩa rằng một con người vĩ đại thì luôn khiêm tốn, chừng mực và khoan dung. Một cơn bão hung dữ có thể quật đổ bật gốc một cây to lớn đầy kiêu hãnh, có vẻ như không thể bị hủy hoại, nhưng sau khi cơn bão lắng xuống, cây tre mềm dẻo lại vươn thẳng lên và xanh tươi như trước đó. Điều này có thể phản ảnh cho một cách sống.
