Description
English: Aerial photograph showing silt in the Strait of Juan de Fuca at the mouth of the Elwha River, Washington, US. The Olympic Mountains are in the distance. Removal of the Elwha Dam had been completed in March 2012 (3 months before this photo). Sediment at the river mouth was an expected outcome of undamming the Elwha.
