Summary

[edit]
Description The only existing stacked theatre in the world with the Wintergarden lying above the Elgin. Built in 1913 as part of the theatre chain of Marcus Loew the buildings fell into serious disrepair by the 1960's and took two years to renovate in 1987-89 by the Ontario Heritage foundation. They are now at the heart of the city's revived theatre district.
