housescomprising three rooms, with kitchen and scullery, andtwenty two-story houses comprising four rooms each. The houses are assigned to the men in the order ofseniority and good behavior. They are welcomed bythe men not only for their convenience but also fortheir accessibility. For example, the Cabra carhousenear Phibsborough is located in a good residential sec-tion where houses of suitable size and low rental wereunobtainable. Here the company erected a completeblock of neat brick houses which inclose the street fromthree sides to make a safe playground for the children.At Donnybrook, where there is plenty of open ground,each tenant has an allotment or war garden oppositehis house. From these few notes and the accompanyingillustration it will be evident that the company hasgrappled wisely with its own housing problem.
