R.R. and Wheeling & Lake Erie Crossing Laid on International Steel Crossing Foundations Steel Crossing Foundations under new crossings will more than double theirand greatly decrease maintenance costs, life under old, worn and loose built-up crossings willgreatly extend their life and quickly save the founda-tions cost in maintenance charges. The two intersection built-up crossing illustratedwas badly worn and could be kept in service only byconstant attention at the time our steel foundation wasplaced under it early this year. It is now so well supported that heavy high-speedsteam traffic on both roads passes smoothly, quietlyand with perfect safety. The crossingsthemselves are wearing into better sur-face than they have been since they werenew and there has been no maintenancecost.
