The rolling stock equipment of the Denver & Interurbanincludes eight motor cars, four trail cars with bodies of thesame design as the motor cars and two Colorado & Southernpassenger coaches used as trailers. The interurban passengercar bodies were built by the St. Louis Car Company and aremounted on especially heavy trucks built by the AmericanLocomotive Company. These trucks which have a load-carrying capacity of 38,000 lb. at the center plate, were il-lustrated and described in the ELECTRIC RAILWAY JOUR-NAL for Oct. 3, 1908. The motor car bodies are 55 ft. 6 in. long, 10 ft. wideand seat 60 passengers. The trailer cars are 53 ft. 10 inlong, 10 ft. wide and seat 58 passengers. The weight of amotor car body without load is 46,000 lb. The underfram-ing is of structural steel and the body framing of wood. Thestructural steel underframe is entirely covered with a floor ofsteel plates which are used as a protection against fire. Theroof of the car is covered with sheet metal which
