Español: Retrato del venerable Fernando Contreras (1470-1548), que fue sacerdote y destacó por su intensa labor en la redención de cautivos cristianos que estaban en poder de los musulmanes, y aunque el emperador Carlos I de España le ofreció el obispado de Guadix, lo rechazó y continuó dedicándose al rescate de cautivos hasta su muerte. Y esta obra es una copia anónima dieciochesca del retrato de Fernando Contreras ejecutado por el pintor Luis de Vargas y conservado en la catedral de Sevilla.
