Español: El corazón se divide en cuatro cavidades; dos aurículas y dos ventrículos. La aurícula y el ventrículo izquierdos, hemicardio izquierdo, están conectados mediante la válvula bicúspide. En el hemicardio derecho, la aurícula y el ventrículo se conectan por la válvula tricúspide. Las válvulas regulan la circulación en sentido aurico-ventricular. Anatómicamente, la sangre circulante en cada hemicardio no se mezcla. El lado izquierdo regula el flujo de sangre oxigenada desde los pulmones hacia los órganos y el lado derecho bombea la sangre usada procedente del cuerpo a los pulmones para su oxigenación. El ciclo cardiaco es igual en ambos hemicardios. Diástole: el corazón está relajado y la sangre entra en las aurículas. Sístole auricular: las aurículas se contraen empujando la sangre hacia los ventrículos. Una vez llenos, las válvulas retienen la sangre en ellos e impiden el reflujo hacia las aurículas. Sístole ventricular: los ventrículos se contraen expulsando la sangre por las arterias. |
