Description
English: Stock certificate of Eisenhütten-Actien-Gesellschaft "Blücher" for 200 thalers, issued in Dortmund on March 1, 1858. August Kromayer headed the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The vignette shows the Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (1742-1819). His portrait was carefully chosen as one of the two leitmotifs on the certificate, as Blücher was considered to be persistent, forward-looking and offensive - just as the management of the smelter was imagined and wanted to suggest to investors.
