Description Diagram of damage caused to the Japanese high school fishing training ship Ehime Maru by a collision with the USS Greeneville on February 9, 2001. According to diver reports, the line of cut in the Ehime Maru extended from frame 21 to frame 54 through both the bottom and the innerbottom of the doublebottom vessel. The cut, therefore, resulted in breaches in the student lounge, the access stairwell to the student lounge, the engine control room, and the engineroom.
