Ancient Egyptian game board for Aseb, or "20 Squares". Similar to Senet, it is related to the Royal Game of Ur, and probably came to Egypt from ancient Sumer during the 17th Dynasty. This game set is made from wood, copper alloy, faience, and knuckle bones. Attributed to someone named Akhmim during the 18th to 20th Dynasties. |
