The eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides, commonly known as roundworms, can be identified in stool microscopy as part of a clinical diagnosis for intestinal parasitic infections.

Description
English: Ascaris lumbricoides eggs are characterized by the following features:

Size: They are relatively large compared to many other intestinal parasites, typically measuring around 35 to 75 micrometers in length and 30 to 50 micrometers in width. Shape: The eggs are oval or spherical with a thick, multilayered, brownish-yellow shell. Surface: The eggshell may have a pitted appearance.

Internal Contents: Inside the egg, a fertilized Ascaris egg contains a developing larva. It often appears coiled or curved within the egg.
