Nederlands: Collectie / Archief : Fotocollectie Dienst voor Legercontacten Indonesië Reportage / Serie : [DLC] Pantsers en Artillerie: Ambarawa, Bringin, Salatiga Reacties Geplaatst door anoniem op 26 maart 2017 - 18:03. tank Blom is van het 1e peloton van het 1e Eskadron Vechtwagens KNIL. Vernoemd naar Jan Blom die in maart 1942 als vechtwagenman tijdens de japanse invasie is gesneuveld tijdens de slag om de Tjiaterstelling. Zie ook de website van de oorlogsgravenstichting. Een aantal tanks van het 1e eskadron Vechtwagens KNIL zijn als eerbetoon vernoemd naar vechtwagenmensen die in die slag zijn gesneuveld: Jan Cox, Van Dongen, Wienen, Re(IJ?)nders, De Wit, de Blom. Staan allen op de website van de oorlogsgravenstichting. Andere tanks van dit eskadron zijn vernoemd naar plaatsen waar in maart 1942 slag geleverd is tegen de Japanners: Soedan, Rembang, Eretan en Kalidjati Geplaatst door anoniem op 26 maart 2017 - 18:08. herstel: Soedan is de tank Soebang. Staat trouwens op een foto in de website van de NIMH en is ook op deze website te vinden. zoek op "U-brigade tanks" . |
