"Edgewater" at that time would have referred to the area on the north side of Lake Union, that would probably today be considered the eastern part of Fremont and the Western part of Wallingford. There were several businesses with "Edgewater" in their names on Woodland Park Ave N.

According to Valarie Bunn, the Edgewater Congregational Church was listed in its permit application and in the city directories as on Whitman between 38th and 39th Streets, one block east of Woodland Park Ave N., just north of where Bridge Way N now comes through on an angle. She later added, "The address I have for the Edgewater Congregational Church on the building permit of 1897 is 3626 Whitman, Block 26, Lots 12 & 13. Building permit #2091. At present there are houses on those lots dated 1915 & 1920. The next lot to the south, 3624 Whitman, is a 1906 house listed as the parsonage of Edgewater C. Church."
