Prepares Attempt For Junior Record. Westfield, New Jersey; August 11, 1930 (Associated Press) Eddie Schneider, 19, Jersey City high school graduate, announced today he will take off at dawn tomorrow from the local airport, in an attempt to break the transcontinental speed record set two months ago by the late Frank Goldsborough. Schenlder has 275 hours of day and 88 hours of night flying to his credit.
