Henry Wardlaw, a son of the Family of Tony, in Fifeshire,Hector of Kilbride, and, by virtue thereof, Precentor of the Seeof Glasgowr (to which Office lie had been provided by his uncle,Cardinal Wardlaw, Bishop of that See), being at Avignon at this HENRY WAKDLAW. 207 time, was preferred to the See of St. Andrews by Pope BenedictXIII., and Consecrated there in 1404.
