Summary[edit]

Description
English: Eashing Bridge (western), Shackleford. Eashing Bridge was built in the 13C by the monks of Waverley Abbey, who also built similar bridges at Elstead and Tilford. The river divides into two channels, so there are two bridges; they are in the care of the National Trust. This is the downstream face of the western bridge, with rounded cutwaters. The other photograph is of the upstream face of the eastern bridge, with pointed cutwaters.
