Early post-medieval hooked tag, triangular plate.
Description
English: Post medieval cast copper alloy hooked tag, complete, 16th/17th century. Sub-triangular plate with scalloped lower edge, decorated with two sets of two oblique grooves, converging at the pointed end; a rectangular loop (internal measurements length 3.7mm, width 4.8mm) projects from the narrow end, and a hook projects from the opposite (scalloped) end. Dark green-brown patina. Length 25.82mm, width 10.14mm, thickness across plate 1.70mm, thickness including hook 6.85mm, weight 1.43g.
