Description
English: Lead

Spindle Whorl. Cast annular or cylindrical whorl with central cast aperture of diameter 10.5mm. The form resembles Walton Rogers form A1, though the wider hole should indicate a date after the Middle Saxon Period. The mass would be suitable for spinning a yarn. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 900-1050.

Diameter: 24.2mm, Thickness: 8mm, Weight: 25.51gms.
