Title
ESS-EC2DC2 Post Medieval Dress Hook
Description
English: Post Medieval (16th century) cast copper alloy dress hook. The attachment loop is rectangular, with a flat undecorated strip below. There is then an openwork triangle comprised of three openwork circles with two openwork circles below, with a projecting arm extending from the apex of the triangle. The arm is rectangular in plan with a 'D' shaped cross section; there is a worn break across the end, where the arm would have bent into a hook. The reverse is plain and undecorated. It is 34.41mm long, 14.88mm wide and 1.27mm thick on the main body with the incomplete projecting arm being 2.749mm wide, 1.77mm thick. It weighs 1.74 grams.
