Description
English: Eastbound New York State Route 25 as it approaches the intersection with the eastern terminus of New York State Route 25A in Calverton, New York. The signs for NY 25A are apparently older than the ones for NY 25. At one time, there was a proposal to realign and extend NY 25A onto Sound Avenue and the formerly proposed extension of Suffolk County Road 94, which would begin west of Hulse Landing Road, run southeast, then turn south crossing over NY 25 east of here, and finally merging with the existing CR 94 north of Exit 71 on the Long Island Expressway. NY 25A would've continued along there and NY 24 until one of the traffic circles in Riverhead.
