العربية: حالات الظلال تحدد بشكل عام كحالات تقاطع بين خط وسطح أو بين مستوى وسطح, مثلا:

- ظل نقطة ب على مستوى الفا تحدد كتقاطع بين شعاع الضوء المار بالنقطة ب مع المستوى الفا؛( أي تقاطع بين خط ومسنوى) - وظل خط ر على مستوى الفا تحدد كتقاطع بين مستوى الضوء المار بالخط ر مع المستوى الفا ( أي تقاطع بين مسنويين) تقنيا لتحديد ظل الخط ر على مستوى الفا, يجب تذكرالخطوات التالية 1- تحديد خط تلاشي مستوى الضوء, وهو الخط الذي يمر بنقطتين تلاشي: نقطة تلاشي اشعة الضوء, ونقطة تلاشي الخط المعني ر 2- تحديد خط تلاشي المستوى المستقبل للظل, وهو الخط الذي يمر بنقطتين تلاشي لخطين ينتميان للمستوى الفا

3- تحديد نقطة تلاشي ظل الخط ر, كنقطة تقاطع بين الخطين اللتي حددناهما سابقا (1و2)
