Italiano: "Il dipinto rappresenta il ritratto a mezza figura di Vittorio Amedeo, figlio di Carlo Emanuele III e di Polissena d'Assia, nato il 26 giugno 1726 e morto a Moncalieri il 16 ottobre 1796, divenuto Re di Sardegna nel 1773, dopo aver sposato il 31 maggio 1750 l'infanta di Spagna Maria Antonia Ferdinanda, figlia di Ferdinando VI re di Spagna. Il ritratto, che raffigura Vittorio Amedeo in età giovanile, con indosso abiti borghesi, privo delle insegne regali e quindi certamente anteriore al 1773, è stato pubblicato da C. E. Bertana nel suo testo dedicato alla Vita di Corte a Moncalieri 1770-1798 (pp. n. n. ma 9)"
