Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Hønsedrengen Palle er kommet til Ib Abelsøn med et hemmeligt brev fra adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwald, der vil have hjælp til at flygte fra Gjorslev Slot. Efter at Palle er gået, ærgrer Ib Abelsøn sig, for han kan ikke læse brevskrift. Og nu kan han også høre at gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen er ude at slås, men uden at han måtte komme med.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. The chicken boy Palle has come to Ib Abelsøn with a secret letter from the noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald who wants help in fleeing from the Gjorslev Castle. After Palle has taken his leave Ib Abelsøn is annoyed because he can't read letter writing. And now he can even hear how Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, who wouldn't let him go with him is out fighting.
