Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og Ib Abelsøn skal til at krydse en bro over Tryggevælde Å, da de bliver indhentet af nogle svenske ryttere. Ib Abelsøn lægger sig ned på broen og kaster nogle løse planker i vandet, så svenskerne ikke kan forfølge dem. Svenskerne råber og skyder efter men uden held.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and Ib Abelsøn are about to cross a bridge over the stream Tryggevælde Å when a group of Swedish horsemen catch up with them. Ib Abelsøn lies down on the bridge and removes some loose plank, so that the Swedes can't follow them. The Swedes screams and shoots after him but without luck. |
