Graveyard of St. Peter's Church, Peter's Hill, Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland
English: Side slab of the 16th-century Dowdall tomb inserted into the east wall of the graveyard of St. Peter's Church with a length of 6 feet and 26 inches in height. The slab is divided in three panels by pilasters. Each of the panels presents a shield. The centre shield appears to depict the resurrection with the no longer readable letters “I.N.R.I” on a scroll-like element above. The other two shields are similar on the dexter side bearing the arms of the Dowdell family Gule a fess between five martlets argent. The left scroll-like element carried the letters “P.D. & A.D.”, the right one “P.D. & T.W.“. This slab is very close to the slabs of the chest tomb of Sir Edmond Goldyng but has no connection to it.
