Description |
English: Design for a chapel wall topped with an arch, filled with sculptural projects at top and sides and painted panels between. Within the arch, a triptych of panels depicting figural scenes from the Bible, possibly all relating to the Crucifixion and death of Christ. At left, an angel brings an object to a man who waits with outstretched arms. At center, a man's arms are bound around a pole while he is beaten. At right, Christ falls while carrying the Crucifix. Below the arch, four rectangular panels with additional figural scenes, possibly representing the Resurrection. |
