Summary[edit]

Description
English: In 1984 Flintshire Farms in Flinton became federally inspected poultry processing plant #17. In this photo, Dr. Duane Boyd from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency inspects every pheasant as the conveyor line moves past the inspection station.

On Dr. Boyd's left is Linda Thompson who uses a draw hook to display the viscera over the back of each bird for inspector examination. When operating at maximum capacity the plant can process 400 birds/hour or one every 11 seconds with about 30 employees. Photo taken November 1986.
