Description Lot-8300-4: WWI-Food Preparation. Dough for the garrison bread ready to be placed in the oven WWI-Food Preparation. One of these trays holds 33 pans each containing six loaves. This bread is baked for the use of Advance Section No.1, and nearby points which do not require much shipping. 1st Lieutenant F.E. Averill, Q.M.C. is shown on the left of the picture and Sergeant W. Mulchey on the right. Lieutenant Averill is in charge of the “A” & “B” battery. This bread is baked for eighty minutes, while the field or round loaf requires only seventy.
