Summary

Description Counties of England in the year 1086, as documented in the Doomsday Book, after the Norman Conquest. Thee English counties were divided into several "circuits". This one features Inter Ripam et Mersham, Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcester, Hereford and Gloucestershire. The entity known as "Inter Ripam et Mersham" was a royal estate holding and would simply become part of Cheshire later on.
