Donetsk, Ukraine. A Lebanese Christian man (left) works on making a clay statue of a Saint in his Ukrainian sculptor friend's apartment in 2011

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Donetsk, Ukraine. A Lebanese Christian man (left) works on making a clay statue of a Saint in his Ukrainian sculptor friend's apartment in 2011. I (Ed Gold) was in Donetsk documenting the Welsh origins of this city from 1870 when I met the Lebanese man, who invited me to see this clay statue that he was building in the hope of flying back to his village in Lebanon. He had not been back home for many years and was earnestly looking for help to finance the flight with this statue.
