Donald F. Abel of Riverside and Lake Geneva, whose interest in Egyptian history and culture dates back to his college days, sails today on the Cristoforo Colombo to join Dr. Abdul Hamid Nazmy, sub-governor of the Bank of Egypt and adviser to the United Nations, in Alexandria. They will travel to Gizeh, land of the Sphinx and pyramids, and then to Cairo. Before he returns to the United States, Mr. Abel will go to Libya where he and Dr. Karl Kraeling, president of the Oriental institute, will join an excavation party.
