A warning notice from Haringey Council being ignored in Lealand Road N15. To read the wording more easily you can <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanstanton/16063971497/in/photostream/lightbox/">switch to a full page view</a> by clicking the double-arrow symbol at top right. Click the symbol again to switch back. The presence of the sign suggests this location may be a regular dumping spot. It's at the junction of Lealand and Road and Fairview Road N15 in South Tottenham. On this south side of the road there's a blank wall - without doors or windows. Which dumpers may think reduces the risk of residents watching and reporting them. There's a litter bin, which some people seem to treat as collection points for additional waste. Street cleaners from Veolia, Haringey Council's waste contractors, had left their purple bags here to await collection. This too, can "signal" that a vehicle will be along soon to remove any rubbish - whether left "officially" or dumped. |
